Max Payne 7/10. It's been a while since I've played the game but the movie was full of nostalgic glory.
The Day The Earth Stopped 6.5/10. It's a great retelling of the original The Day the Earth Stood Still. With a larger budget I would have given it a 9.

Punisher: Warzone.

The fiance said it was the most violent movie she has seen, not in a bad way though. I digged it. It was like the way I like to play games. Head shot after bloody head shot. Some punk even gets intercepted mid jump from building to building by an RPG. (Reminds me of rocket duels in Q2)

The cinematography was presented in a good comic like way with accent lighting and a great use of shadows.

Best moment of badassery that stuck in my head (so many to choose from) was when Castle throws dude off a building. Dude gets impaled by a wrought iron (sp?) fence spike and just before he's about to sputter his last blood choked breathe Castle comes jumping down with an ultra head stomp that visibly breaks the guys neck into his trachea. The next shot is Castle running off and the guys now elongated and backwards jointed neck letting out the final hiss of breath left in his lungs.

8/10 for the over the top action.

Recently I saw "He's Just Not Into You" in theaters. It was a pretty good chick flick. 8/10

"Down With Love" I saw the other day with some girls for movie night. Pretty interesting, and who doesn't love Ewan McGregor? 8/10

Another statham film, found it amusing and excellently violent. The bit where he starts shagging his girlfriend in the middle of china town so he doesen't die is lulz.. as is the waffle iron incident :p

The Librarian 3 - 6/10
I loved the first 2. This one was just too far out. Seemed more like a TV series than a movie at this point.

Also contradictions like saying "since I started working here, I've never been able to date anyone for more than 6 months" while the entire character is based on a 30 year old shut in that lives with his mother who never had a date before starting his job as the Librarian, are quite distracting.

Sunshine. 8/10. Worth watching again. Good sci-fi flick with some suspense @ the end.

Pride and Glory - 9/10

Sure it's based on a played plot. Good cop bad cop has been done again and again. But this movie had a unique twist. I'm a big fan of Ed Norton too so that may have helped. The corruption that ensues and the consuquences that follow mixed with the turmoil of what happens next influences my 9.. maybe even 10 rating. I esp like how Colin Farrell gets caught up at the end.

Jindabyne - 2/10

Starring Gabriel Byrne and Laura Linney. I can sometimes appreciate a somber movie with deep meanings woven into the background, but this one looked like just an excuse to take a movie crew on a trout fishing trip. Overall, the plot (or piss-poor excuse for one) unfolds far too slow. Don't waste your time on this one, do something more productive like picking your nose or applying conditioner to your pubic hairs.

the last good one I saw was Slingblade with Billy Bob Thorton!!! I have to give it a 10. Billy Bob had his shit together on this one!!...Could be a real story no doubt and not far fetched bull Shit!!!...lol...

I saw the remake of 'the last house on the left' this past weekend. This movie is very very intense. The first half hour there is a very gruesome rape scene, now i dont know about most people, but i cant stomache that kind of shit. Dont get me wrong, i like horror movies and slasher films...but rape scenes make me sick. So right off the get go i was turned off by this movie, pretty fucked up movie cuz its shit that actually happens.

That's why I'm turned off by "horror" movies that are simply gorey and not scary. Ever since Hellraiser 3, the genre has gone from decapitations and hooks in dead bodies to killing babies and eating fetuses. It's not about scaring people. It's about being shocking and pushing the envelope. What's left after the envelope has already been pushed? Trash, really.

Sadly some movies aren't even half the "horror" film as Arachnaphobia.

Funny you mention that, i was in a conversation yesterday about how i would never watch tropic thunder and all 4 other people were like what! its ben stillers funniest movie! I was discombobulated when i heard that.

i really didn't find it funny. I normally find ben stiller pretty funny but I didn't find the movie funny.
