i play l4d and l4d2 all the time... challenging isnt the word to describe the game at all lol... fun yeah, but challenging? nah

I played l4d a bit when it first came out. It's like the zombies have a 10 foot hit box on their head, and if you kill a certain percentage of a group, they all just die. This is all to counter-act the Turok 2 effect in which to make head shots hard, all enemies constantly shake their heads around randomly and jitter between wild animation frames. If they would have just worked on the zombies themselves then the exploders, witches, and countless other lame gimmicks could have been left out.

As much as I like the Dawn of the Dead remake, what it's done to the zombie genre is lame. Stupid running zombies.

Speaking of Dawn of the Dead here, the fact that someone decided to finally add a little to it and make them run at a full sprint made that movie a lot more exciting than other zombie flicks. You watch all these old zombie movies from the early 80's and you say to yourself, "Why are they scared? Why are they running from them? Why don't they just grab two swords or chainsaws and spin in a circle when they approach them? Why don't they just stand there and pick them off one by one since they're all stumbling slowly like narcoleptic drunks?"

Agreed x1000.  The sprinting made it much more intense and exciting imo.

the head hitbox is quite large yeah :p but no they dont all die if you kill a percentage of a group, gotta kill all of em

the thing is though, once you learn how AWESOME the shotgun is... or the m4 if thats your thing... well the whole game is easy as shit xD

you can kill a tank yourself no problem with the shotgun

Which is essentially what happens at the end of Night of the Living Dead. The zombies rely on confusion, unpreparedness, and numbers. Movies with running zombies lead to much worse inconsistencies, like how someone who has never fired a gun before gets dozens of head shots close range consistently throughout the movie.

I think the truest movie so far based on this idea is the movie Autumn. The newest movies Diary of the Dead and Survival of the Dead have gone back to a similar idea too. Heck, Land of the dead all but dropped the idea of a running zombie. Running zombies are a new phenomenon and in mainstream movies they are probably only existent in the Dawn of the Dead remake (not the original BTW) and 28 Days Later. 28 Weeks Later doesn't count because it was dog vomit disguised as a movie.

After all the quests and enjoying over 300 user mods I've done everything imaginable in Oblivion. Thought I was FINALLY done with it after finishing my own House mod for it.

But nooooo, along comes the BBB (Better Bouncing Boob) mods. Tried to resist, but I bit and got hooked and now i've got all the Armor and Clothes i could find converted for BBB. Working on my own Armor mod with and without BBB support.

Call of Duty WaW mp for sure !!! But I can't play that game anymore, i'm an idiot when it comes to being able to put it down when i start it up. I spend a stupid amount of time in that game.

Grabbed F.3.A.R. the first week it was out. AWSOME game. Still playing it with distractions.
Cause I also picked up C&C the first decade and been reliving some good ole SP days.

Last week got 18WOS Extreme Trucking and Rig and Roll, both at bargain prices, picking at those at the moment.

And of course still doing NASCAR 2003. Although I haven't in several weeks. The BTR league is pretty much done, atleast till next season. If I can dedicate myself to really pushing it hard and heavy.
Need to get back into some more racing with [BTF]Gator. GTL, rFactor, something. I miss our races. Guess i'll be needing to get that copy of Shift2.

Duke Nukum is my next purchase. Can't wait to get my grubby mits on that.

Currently the game is in the Kunark release (patches and expansions happen along the same exact timeline Sony released content/fixes). The game will not extend beyond Velious expansion FYI. At night time the server peaks around 800 players, never less than 200 on at a time. So if you're sick of Rift or WoW and their lack of challenge, go back to EQ1 when games were fuckin games that were meant to be difficult and way too frustrating.

I got my copy the same way.  A guy over at slickdeals.net was talking about how he had bought a 4 pack of the GOTY edition, so I PM'd him and asked if he had any left, and he did, so I got a copy for only $5.63!  Woot!
