What games are you playing ?

I was reading a while ago on the forums that vae was playing Armored Core on a PS1 emulator or something on those lines. Anyway, I remembered going to Kyper's youtube channel like 8 months ago and specifically seemed interested by this one game called VOOT.

Going to see if I can get this some time soon. Along with the Armored Core: Master of Arena game for Playstation 1. Gotta see if my old PS1 still works.

use epsxe on your pc for a playstation emulator its a pretty nice emulator, i can tell ya waht plugins and stuff i used for final fantasy and armored core if you want lol if you are gonna play AC:MOA make sure to play the two armored cores before it because your save file carries over and you get more parts if you have your disc, you can just pop it in the computer... OR you can use an image file

i have origins 7 8 9 and 10, was playing origins on the emulator, was pretty nice

for video i used pete's opengl2 driver 2.9

and audio eternal SPU plugin 1.50

the audio isnt hte best plugin but it works... the first one i tried had really crackly sound in armored core youll need to obtain a playstation bios file also some digging and you should find it... not entirely legal for me to post it here

the bios file name should be SCPH1001.BIN and its 512 KB

Have you ever played the Final Fantasies on the Super Nintendo?

I'll have to use this on one of my games as a test run.

And I'll get the Playstation bios file. I already have an idea on where to start

i checked out a couple other emulators... and having the modular plugins is actually a really nice thing, because some work better with different games if you are stuck with set sound and video drivers for the emulated playstation, then if a game you wanna play doesnt like one of those you are kinda SOL

epsxe is pretty nice and easy to set up its not like it takes a rocket scientist to set up sound and video plugins

legend of dragoon is a really sweet rpg for ps1 worth checking out if you like rpg's and get epsxe set up

dino crisis and the resident evil games are pretty good too also parasite eve is pretty good

oh and there is a south park fps game for ps1 lol

By the way, Escher, what game(s) are you gonna try playing besides Armored Core? I can give a few suggestions.

Some of them that I have lying around near my desk are Twisted Metal Small Brawl, Tetris Plus, and Resident Evil 2. I actually really liked RE2, but I never actually got to finishing it. I got stuck somewhere in the game when you have to jump onto the cooling system. Where you have to follow the girl. I don't even know anymore haha I remember last playing that in the Spring of 2005.

There is a southpark fps for PS1 lmao I remember that was one of the 2 first games that I played on my Playstation back in Christmas of 2000. The other game was of course Armored Core: Master of Arena

btw Another rpg that I liked was Vagrant Story. I would rent the game back in 2001 all the time and play it, but never got to finishing it, along with the many games that I have; ADD city man!

And I'll have to look into Parasite Eve, and Legend of Dragon... and Dino Crisis.

Oh man, Emulator's are an obsession for me. I have the N64 emulator with Super Mario 64. That game is fun
