I dunno that I like the idea. Personally, I "kinda" like the idea of being able to legally hunt with a reduced sound signature because maybe you'll get more than one shot on an animal if you need it. But WAY MORE than that, my desire to want to hear a more accurate representation of where shots that aren't from ME are coming from FAR FAR FAR outweighs the potential benefits of hunting with a muzzle muffler.

That shit is retarded. I think at this point we're all well aware of the fact that I'm ALL FOR gun owners rights and personal freedom and all that shit, but this shit is venturing into territory where it doesn't belong. Hunting has to be reasonably "fair", which is why there are regulations against spotlighting deer, using poisonous darts, using submersible explosives for fishing, etc etc.

And for any opponents of such a bill, or maybe even supporters, what a lot will fail to realize is that you can't just go pick up a silencer TOMORROW at the store. It takes almost a year to get approved and licensed for ownership of the silencer, regardless of some hunting regulation about it.

I certainly hope this is some photoshopped joke. Any 50BMG round is gonna contain upwards of 600 grains. That'd be like trying to catch a baseball being shot out of a potato gun at 250mph barehanded. The Taurus Judge which is a snubnose revolver capable of firing 410bore shotshells is bad enough. This shit is just insane.

Great joke concept but yes, the round would blow the barrel right off the frame before it even started to rifle into the forcing cone. I can think of some people that deserve to receive a free one and the "Oh, yeah, it's safe, I shoot mine all the time!", reassurance they need to win a Darwin Award.

Yeah, supposedly the tips are color coded for easy identification, at least in military applications. But who knows really. Several companies make them, and I don't know if they have industry-wide standards for that.

It's a little weird how these Newtown yo-yo's are going apeshit at AR manufacturers. Their fucking kids were murdered, I understand they're very upset, but AR platform semi-automatics really aren't any more deadly or all that different from Remington automatics... other than the fact that many of them resemble M-16's or M4's. Their popularity is due to the fact that parts are widely available and they have more options for operator customization. You can swap out upper receivers/barrels/etc relatively quickly and convert your rifle from a small varmint rifle into a larger caliber deer or elk rifle. That's the whole selling point of the system, how versatile and easy to maintain it is. If there's any VALID complaint to be made about these AR rifles, it's how easy it is to mod them and make them fully automatic. But then... the little asshole who shot up a bunch of children hadn't modded it to be a fully automatic "machinegun." A rifle cartridge is gonna have a little more range on it than a handgun cartridge, but the principle of what semi-auto pistols do is the same shit an AR does. Firing one shot flings out the brass, chambers the next one, and sets the pin back for the next trigger pull.

What people would have a much better reason to protest would be that 50bmg ammo is available to anyone, which means that basically anyone can wield a 50 cal browning without many restrictions making it harder for them to get ahold of it. And one man with an untraceable homemade 50 cal rifle firing into a large crowd at the proper angle could literally murder up to 30 people with only 3 rounds. And considering he could do it from over three quarters of a mile away, a little planning means he's guaranteed to slip away unseen. That's the whole selling point of THIS weapon system. To be the pissed off hand of God smiting motherfuckers from a world away where they aren't safe no matter where they stand, and you can be casually chewing bubble gum in the nude without a care in the world.

I'm all for gun rights for private citizens. I think I should be able to own a fucking Uzi if I want one. I think individual citizens should be able to arm themselves with weapons worthy of a true militia to defend themselves in case of a huge SHIT MEETS FAN moment. But 50bmg? Eh, I dunno about that one. That one doesn't really have a legitimate application for private citizens. It's clearly an "offensive" weapon of warfare. Sure, if shit goes to hell, private citizens might find themselves needing to crack the engine block of a truck coming towards a defensive barricade, but at that point, I'd hope qualified military personnel were there with that weapon deployed so they can use it properly and effectively. This shit is like a 1-man fully mobile anti-aircraft cannon. I don't think any of you want me living next door with a WORKING Flak 88, do you? What happens when Focalor has one too many whiskeys and decides to impress his friends with his great big damn gun?   Nothing good, that's what.

But nobody's gone on a rampage with one, so I guess until there's a problem, who gives a shit.

WORST BOW SEASON EVER.

Bow season for deer started back in mid-September, and I figured I'd wait until late September to get out because it was too damn hot back in the middle of September when the season opened. But shortly after it opened, it finally got cold... and then it started raining. And it ain't fuckin' STOPPED raining. 2 or 3 weeks straight of nothing but constant steady rain. And last week, it rained so much in such a short period that most of the ponds and creeks around here overflowed and flooded the area where I hunt, taking my new-ish popup ground blind with it. God knows where it is, probably several miles away. Luckily I didn't have anything in it. Although I guess if I ever get another one, I'll know to either put a few heavy rocks inside it or tie part of it to a nearby tree. I have a tree stand too, but I don't use it if it's raining, just too dangerous.

Rifle season starts on the 17th I think and runs through the first week of January. Hopefully shit clears up for at least a small window during the next fuckin' month and a half. This shit is ridiculous.

I bought another shotgun today. I went in to stock up on ammo, and decided to inquire about a few go to reliable firearms. They were sold out of 88 Mavericks and mossberg 500s. They were out of ALL 20ga shotguns. He told me they were out of all shotguns under 400 dollars lmao, and out of buck shot! This was the largest shop in the county too. I did see a very cool looking double barrel for 499 but everything was overpriced though. Double barrel was an ATI, pictured here:





I then went to a pawnshop that had a very large selection of new and used guns. They were telling me how much they've been cleaned out and were mostly out of the popular reliable ones, although they did have plenty of used glocks.  An on-duty cop was purchasing a glock alongside me haha. I see a brand new 12ga for $150 from a company I haven't heard of. When I see a weapon under $200 it always catches my interest(I was more so looking for a maverick 88, but probably EVERYONE was thinking that. For those who don't know this is the cheapest most reliable shotgun there is and it's made by MOSTLY mossberg parts). So I checked it out a bit, liked it, decided to say what the hell and got it. It appears to be 5 and 1 in the chamber, judging by the magpipe length relative to a 20 inch barrel. All black emperor mxp12.



They also gave me a discount on everything, including the ammo. I walked out of there with 50 rounds of bird shot, and about 40 of a mixture of 00/000 buck shot, 00 slugs, and hollow point rounds. Spent less than 200 dollars after tax so not bad.

I think they'll be some opportunity to find some nice ones at the pawn shop in a year. I imagine there's plenty of first time gun buyers that aren't enthused over owning guns that might sell them back without ever using it.

Emperor is a Turkish company. Made in Turkey. Because of that, it's cheap, not designed quite as well as other brands, but it goes bang when you pull the trigger as advertised. But it's a shotgun. Unless you're making it with chinese potmetal instead of steel, it's gonna do what it's supposed to.

They have some nice pistol grip M&P style shotguns. Never actually shot one, but from what I've seen of them, the pump looks like a kinda shitty design that functionally hides the probably lower quality moving parts.

You see? Everybody is going fucking crazy, preparing for some kind of post-apocalyptic thunderdome shit to spark off. Now isn't the time to be heading to the sporting goods store or pawn shop to buy a shotgun. Now is the time to give "Pill-head Bill" a call and buy one of those full auto Mac 11's or MP5's with the serial numbers filed off so you can have the advantage when protecting yourself from all the assholes that bought all the SEMI-automatics.

I don't have too many noise makers. I don't have any at 15's. I do enjoy my homemade fire tosser though. If I really wanted to win the thunderdome then the opening act would probably tow my broke down boat in the middle of the road, douse it with flames, then post up somewhere with my 10/22 with a 110 round rotary drum. Pretty tame without land mines or .223 rounds for that matter. Other than the guns I already mentioned I just got another shotgun and a 30/06.
