250,000 thousand dollar reward for information leading to arrest of people involved with conflicker.

It's believed they are the same makers of the storm bot network, because of similarities in code, and it doesn't attack the Ukraine, or something like that. 

I know the botnet morphped into having p2p components after new updates were pushed down to it.  It must get it's instructions from somewhere.

Can the instructions be pushed down from a connection to any of the bots, or does it need to come from a control server.  Somewhere someone is gonna slip up and I want 250,000.  Just because they are going through proxies through different governments  and ISPs to connect to a server that issues the commands doesn't mean they won't slip up.  I believe there is even cryptography involved.  There could be something in the application data, or the connection could be traced leading to further information.  Anyways, if there is a remote chance, I wanna try to get some big bucks!

So how are the commands pushed down?


edit: I think the C&C servers are generated from an algorithm (probably already revere-engineered) so the bot owner knows at this time if I register this domain, or x domains, they will contact it.  But i'm not sure if it's p2p, and they just connect to the any bot in the network and it can start issuing commands.
