If there is a 1v1, I'd like to have the nade launcher too so that one can get the dynamics of two nades at the same time.

Perhaps you could add one more option to the poll?

- Only Nades
- Nades + GL (weaponstay on)
- Nades + GL (weaponstay off)

It may not have looked like it but the first 1v1 tourney was pretty exhausting because of the unusual format, especially if you had to play 2 or 3 matches in a row. Of course some matches were tougher than others but most of us were constantly timing a handgrenade while running and in the meantime looking for more ammo and trying to locate the opponent. You had to be so careful not to damage yourself by your own nades ór by falling (no health). There also was a lot more dodging going on than I had anticipated. You had to move like crazy to not get hit, but you also had to move *a lot* to do some damage to your opponent.
I absolutely love the GL and it would be interesting to have it in, the problem however is that with weaponstay off there will be one item that's now very important to control. The GL *can* be used as a spamming weapon because it can fire a lot faster, making it much more dangerous than Nades. I mean I can't really think of a situation where I would put away my GL and switch to Nades in a 1vs1. Maybe it would be a good idea to set up a server with Nades+GL before the tourney so people can see how it goes.

I agree it would be interesting to try it out. I had in mind that the timing control you can have on a nade could be a nice counter to a quick GL. But we should try indeed.

Sorry but there is little skill in using a grenade launcher, I vote to keep it off for a skilled tourney.

I also suggest spawning with around 10-15 hand grenades because if it is just nades on the map, it turns into "get 1 kill and grab all grenades".
Lastly, you can disable Blaster in config I believe. don't know how to do it, but it is possible.

Blaster has been taken off so its not an issue anymore.

Also regarding the 'get 1 kill and grab all nades' I don't think this happened once in the last tourney. There might have been dm7 which allowed for a better control but there was no shortage of nades in any game that I know of. You should check some of the demos and see how it worked.

Could do it in the console,  been so long but i think the command is demomap.  So for nades.dem
it would be;    demomap nades.dem

assuming the demo is in baseq2.    Demoplay is nice because you can just play the demo from windows.
no matter where it is.   Some I just play right off the forum.

Hand grenades only. Unless there's a way to also add in the katana sword from Shadow Warrior.
