Just got this game the other day,and all I can say is,It pwns,really loving it!!!
First game I have bought in years that I can honestly say that I'm really enjoying.

I played the original Manhunt and it was very addictive.  I wouldn't let my kids play it (if I had any) due to the very disturbing nature of the game.  One part of Manhunt which sticks in my head was a level where I was in control of a crane magnet and I had to kill the baddies by lifting a fridge with the crane and throwing it  at them.  Classy.   I was addicted to this game for about 2 weeks but, unfortunately, I got to a level which I just couldn't pass, kept dying   Tried and tried but couldn't do it so I jibbed the game into touch in disgust at that stage

Left 4 Dead is no doubt a fun game that put the AWESOME back in coopAWESOMEertive. However, it is without a doubt the single most overrated game this year, if not ever. It's good, it has everything that it promised, and it does it all right. The only problem is that it's a Halflife mod being sold as an actual game. In fact there already was a zombie halflife 2 mod that met with the great success as well.

I mean it's good to see that the mindless franchise ruining sequel phase of video game developers is starting to wane. But the unreal3/half-life2 mod being sold as an actual game seems to be the phase that's replacing it. This is probably a good thing considering Aq2 begat Counter-Strike and D-Day Quake 2 begat battlefield 1942. It's just that the gimmick of Left 4 Dead wore off for me after scenario 1 level 1, and the weapon selection was incredibly limited. Other than the randomization of scripted events to keep each level new every time (begat by Coop or Die?) I don't know what other part of the generic 3d shooter they have left to keep the audience in. It's obviously successful and I have no real complaints against it, I just personally expected more.

co-op, up to 8 people, vs an invading army.  You buy your own weapons, build defenses in a RTS-style mode.   1/2 the price of Left 4 Dead.  I have a coupon code that gets you 1/2 off THAT price, I think until the end of today.  PM if interested.
