quick time trouble

i have quicktime and itunes , im currently having trouble with quickt time , when i click the icon it appears to be opening but it only stays minimized , the application isnt actually running properly ( for example i cant maximize the window)

im happy i tunes is workin but i need to fix that stupid quicktime problem and it is the latest version of quicktime

im running windows vista

I must have installed and un-installed QuickTime 10 times over the years. It always messes up eventually. I only keep it around because for some reason people still post movies in ".mov" format. There are many easier and more common formats. Right now I'm using a QT emulater that runs off of classic Media Player if I encounter a .mov or mp4 format. It works fine.

I've been using Quicktime for a couple of years, i never did download the newest update, but so far things have been working fine with mine.  (V7.5)

The only issue I've had was sometimes, when I'm playing an .avi file, i don't get a picture, only sound, lol

You don't need quicktime to run avi video.

Heh...I just checked and the emulater I have is for Real Player (.ram, .rm) movies - not QuickTime. Doh!! I wish the people in the Porn industry would just decide on a common format and stop confusing me.
 However I will check out those on your link since I occasionally run into Movs here and there. Everytime I've installed QT it wants to take over all forms of media on its player even when I specify I only want it for Apple format stuff. I use GOM player for most movies these days.
