When Whitney boozed and doped herself to death I fealt a loss for who she was in the 80s-90s and my memories of such and of the music industry. But all in all other than feeling bad that someone that had that much talent and success and brought so much to music and film, I really didn't care "that much", no personal loss for me. She choice her lifestyle and choice to dope herself to death as unfortunate it was.
But when Dick Clark died today at a very ripe old age and of natural causes thats whole different deal (for me). He will be VERY missed by many many people, by the music industry as a WHOLE, and by me. Not sure if anybody can understand this but growing up seeing him all through my life I take this as a personal loss for myself.
For all the memories he's embedded into peoples minds and for all he's done for music, America, and New Years Eve I hope he has all the peace someone of his caliber deserves.
To Dick Clark: R.I.P.

In a way I'm kinda glad he kicked the bucket. Nothing against him personally, but it was pretty tacky seeing him still getting on TV doing the new years eve specials. After that stroke or whatever, he sounded like he was drunk as shit. Dude just needed to hang it up at that point. But either he didn't want to stop, or the network wouldn't get off his balls about doing it still. Maybe the network thought it was "inspirational" or something to see him still doing it even after what he'd been through. Madden hung it up before he got too old and pathetic. We'll all have nice fond memories of him forever. Peter Jennings quit World News Tonight before the cancer got to him too bad. We'll all remember him in a nice way. But guys like Ozzy Osbourne... we'll mostly remember what a pathetic decrepit old fart he was meandering around a stage like an escaped alzheimers patient shitting his pants and off his meds.

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
