Acclaim has established for itself a bad reputation but I think someone actually found a way to make the Turok franchise less successful:

20 years ago, acclaim put out killer games.  The 90's ended that. 

The first few turoks were pretty fun.  This one doesn't even look like turok, just has the same name.
