Couture fasion has no function. It's all about glamour and gaudy(sp).

I live in a city where all the fashion trends from around the world are seen. Vancouver BC....home of uggs, tights, LuLus and sceners. I have seen it all from the asian girls who think dressing like hookers is in fashion to the guys who think that dogg the bounty hunter is cutting edge in style.

I have a guilty pleasure of people watching when I'm at the coffee shop with my GF and make sarcastic comments like, "She needs a sandwhich." to, "OMG when the fuck did dressing like a cheap heroin trick make you feel good?" all while in ear shot of my target.

Luckily for me I'm kind of a tall guy so I don't really worry about Bruce Lee or Vin Deisel being offended by my comments.

Fashion has become "high art", impractical and created for fashion critics.  Like a self-licking ice cream cone, it thinks it is delicious but everyone else is astoundingly uninterested.

I remember reading on the bottoms of all my little hot wheels cars as a kid, "made in Malaysia". I wonder if the child workers in the hot wheels factory over there get caught playing with the vroom vrooms and are consequently beaten with a long cane on the palms of their hands.
