Loc-Down!!

Ok...so I was taking it up the (_)_) hard in a 2 v 2 match and I realized I have no way to tell me teammate(s) where the hell I am in a map.

This brings me to two questions:

• How do I let 'em know where I am?
• Why doesn't %L work anymore?

I used to have a simple bind of "say_team %L" so I could let my team know where I was, along with the occasional %W / %T. Now I find it not working for some reason (I'm pretty sure the answer is right in front of me).


So guys:

• How do I let 'em know where I am?
• Why doesn't %L work anymore?

I'm assuming there is a way to create specific *.cfg files for each map that let me detail where I am in it. I'm looking so far as to detail very specific locations.....like in q2dm1:

If I'm defending the RG area I'd like to be able to say "Lurking in the water by the RG" of course, if I am in the water. But If I'm in the RG room: "Obviously camping/ or just passing by the RG "

I'd like to be able to say my things in a simple, one keystroke solution.

Any info that leads to my eventual evolving in gameplay is uber appreciated.

Well, first off the %L only works in certain mods, not sure in which ones, but you'll easily find out if it works or not when entering the server. It's a serverside thing I guess, not a client-side, so you can't really do anything about it. The same goes for %W

very nice!..   only one thing...

when I do $$loc_here it gives my location...  only, when I do it again it always comes up with that first location
no matter what part of the map I'm in
