TS500: #3

I don't know if there was another one since I left, so forgive me if the numbering is off.

I have been getting numerous requests to host another one since I've left.  So many, that I decided that I will host another one, if no one has any objections of course.  I had some good plans for the TS500 that I never got to implement, and will have to dig them up.  Knowing my luck however, and despite all the requests, no one will probably show up    

it may take me some time to get everything together, but this is to let you know that if you are interested, signups will be coming in the near future.

note: if you are new and/or don't know what the TS500 is, then I will explain..
the TS500 is an endurance/stamina contest. With time, everyone wears thin.  the goal, is to reach 500 kills before anyone else.  the prize, nothing but priceless glory over your opponents (cause we are too cheap to offer real prizes..but it isn't entirely out of the question..except I'd hate to give prizes to elysium only  ) The TS500 lasts approximately 1-2 hours.  It is usually played anytime from 9pm to 6am depending on your timezone, and during the weekends.  Settings are determined for the most part by the users in a vote/poll. Signups usually begin 2 weeks to a month prior to the actual event so that all who wish to join have the time to do so, and time to learn any maps that may be elected.  the amount of players that signup is the amount of people playing...meaning there is no limit to the amount allowed to sign up (besides what the servers can handle).  if I recall correctly, the last ts500 I was present at, over 40+ people participated.  We use large maps, nothing you'll see on vanilla...but the maps we use are dictated by the amount of users signed up.

I'de love a ts500 take 4,

First one was fun,  I had a great rig, and a good connection.
Second one, great rig, and AOL dialup.
Third one, CRAPPY RIG, ok connection.

Im back to good connection and good rig,  lets do it!

hah.  sounds fun, but that much spam could get old really quick.  I would like to be able to add all weapons from all mods, or an xatrix style TS500, with ripper, phalyx, and traps.  we tinkered with the thought of a blaster500, but it would take forever to reach 500 with a blaster, so maybe the blaster 250 or something.  Perhaps, there could be individual rounds, that have only one weapon each map, and say 5 maps, 5 different weapons.  this way everyone is on basic equal footing at all times weapon wise, and allows people to go head to head with the same exact weapons, showing off their skills with each, because some people are better with certain weapons than others.
