Double binds?

I was wondering if anybody had ever come up with an alias that effectively doublebinds a weapon(s) to a key. In Doom, weapons are assigned to slots, so that something like the sg and ssg occupy the same slot. When the "slot 3" command is given, it defaults to the ssg, and if that isn't present, the sg. If one is equipped and the command is given, it switches between the guns.

Something like this would be great for weapon mods that have a lot of similar weapons... so I was wondering if anybody ever figured out a way to get this accomplished.

bind 2 "use superhyperdeathray ; use supershotgun"

List them in whichever order you prefer...

e.g. bind end use shotgun; use super shotgun

Well now I feel silly. I had thought about doing that, but I had the order muxed up, so it didn't click that that could work.

using the ";" can be used to separate all commands, not just weapons you know

I knew about ;, of course, and I considered using that exact method before. I didn't go for it though, since I thought it would *always* just switch to the last command issued. Glad it turned out differently

However, coldflo now knows that you are a cheater and are using weapons binds cheats.


Now he has to go buy a new super l33t rig just so he can beat you.
