can the server go back to athena/grunt skins plz?

Only on this server are all skins male for me. For what particular reason would this be done? I have enabled all dl's in my q2 and still cant see fems. I have ctf skins set also. Vanilla is getting boring, plz fix this k thx

copy paste athena.pcx in quake2/baseq2/players/female (i think) and rename it to ctf-b.pcx or whatever the skins called. but ya, the settings should just be changed back.

Hi, I ran this by the folks coordinating the tourney, and they've said they're looking for a solution - but that at present it's been difficult for the refs to get the skins set properly for the tourney every time an official match is to be played, so the skins have been locked to the official tourney skins.

However, the skins definitely shouldn't be showing up as all male. 

Do you specifically have the male and female ctf_b skins ?  There must be some troubleshooting steps we could take ...

hmm i know we voted on the appropriate skins for the tourney...but honestly i think people voted on skins without considering the ramifications of their actions, they only saw a poll with different version of skins and didnt consider the current problems we have now back then, i think we should have a re-election for new skins, i personally think they should be default standard skins(even though ctf is default), just get two male default skins that are bright, thats what i suggest, well you can vote on that...but just consider the re-election with default skins, i know the people already voted, but now they know what its like, lets have a recall! (just make sure we dont pick schwartzenegar skins) and have them vote again and see if they still pick the same skins, most of the people who voted on the skins last time dont even go to the server :\ they were just in the 1v1 tourney and the skin choices dont affect them, for 1v1 its fine, but anytime we have a team game its quite annoying to have a team mate whose not a tasty spleen regular continually shoot me in the back, if anything, atleast let us vote for a recall of the skins lol

Just quoting:

For the Timelimit - it should not be a problem.
Referees can change it back to 10mins after they reffed their Official Match.

For the skins, I am aware that most of the tdm games end up with some players that can't see the skins (for some reason), and see all-grunt. We will probably bring it back to 'teamskin unlocked' - and will ask Referees to force people to change their skins to ctf_b for Official Matches.

Should be changed at latest this evening.
