This is a ver popular 1v1 map in europe also known as q2duel5, would be cool if it was on the servers.

The original release name was "broken2", the map is by Retinal, one of the greatest Quake and Quake II mappers ever.  You may also like his other releases.  Most are in that same style.

I'm sure Heavy Metal is also a duel map.. kinda lame that some pak authors took it upon themselves to rename other people's .bsps.  What was so hard about just bundling them as they were originally released?  I think the pak authors wanted to make it look more like they had something to do with the levels.

Anyway, these should all be on mutant imo.

Yeah, agree with naym. There are textfiles and so on giving the credits to the mapmakers in the pak (at least most of them), as well as the mapmakers are often putting their names in the mapname anyway. Only annoying thing with the renaming of bsp is that you can have the same map in several paks with different names, and different servers host different versions of the map (ztn2dm3/q2duel8/q2pduel10 for instance, or aeroq2/aerowalk/q2pduel1/q2duel1 and so on).

Anyway, mortal coil is quite nice. Small map without RA, as well as very good flow (meaning no dead-ends or ladders or other obstacles and easy to move around, allthough the map is small).

Thanks for the info!  Yes, these are already all on mutant.  I'll add "broken2" to the tourney server map lists.

Dael, yea, that's my gripe with the renaming (or rebranding, even).  Ah well.

Good call to add this one to the tourney server..great little 1v1 map.
