.filelist http download help!

trying to use a file list  to download some files for ctf ive made it work before in the past but am unsure why it wont work now.

i read on r1ch forums to use the mod directory and make a txt file ctf.filelist

after creating the file, placed  in CTF directory  it says 404 file not found when connecting to server

i thought maybe the problem was with the .filelist extension when i went to the web browser http://quake2server/ctf/ctf.filelist  and clicked on the file the web browser would just open the text file instead of downloading it.

i added a mime type for .filelist for apache2 web server.. i can now download the file in web browser... but still when connecting to quake2 server it says 404 file not found.

ive tried making mutliple copies of the file in baseq2 and ctf and many directories but quake2 still cant see it

any ideas??

all my maps textures everything downloads fine..

just want to add some intro music for when you enter the server

man... never mind i figured it out.... ctf.filelist file doesnt need to go in the mod directory... it goes in root level directory of the httpdownload server..


hope this helps others in the future or at least myself.
