They did some extensive updates yesterday. Fixed the 99 round limit. Changed the fixed 3 digit display for coins. Added comments between rounds and some other tweaks.

I'm really impressed. Everything they updated this time around was spot on!

Gameplay

Two players alternate turns between drawing a picture to convey the guessword for his partner to guess. The person drawing is provided three random words, arbitrarily ranked by difficulty (a star is easier to draw than a lion), earning one to three coins if his partner guesses correctly.

After the drawer has finished drawing, the guesser will view a stroke by stroke replay of the drawing, without the pauses in between. The guesser is given a number of blank spaces, a scrambled letter keypad, and unlimited tries to enter the guess word. The drawer gets an opportunity to watch his partner guess the drawing as it is replayed.

Coins build up to eventually allow the player to purchase more shades of color for drawing or "bombs". The free version comes with a limited set of colors and bombs; coins can be purchased.
Tools

Each player is given a number of "bombs." As a guesser, the bomb eliminates letters which are not part of the answer; as a drawer, the bomb gives a new set of guess words to choose from. Without bombs the guesser can only forfeit (pass) the game if he cannot guess the word. This breaks the pairs winning streak. The drawer can restart the application to get new words.

I've noticed this glitch since the first day, but I have to say I've not used it on purpose once.

I did find a very useful glitch, which I think could be positively worked into the gameplay. If you are deciding between a set of words and you click home to return to your phone's menu. Open drawsomething back up. It will take you back to the menu of active games. Play against a different opponent. After you watch and guess for that player, you'll have those same 3 words from before to choose from.

So if I'm playing against a random stranger and realize that I want to make a stupid pun out of one of the words, I usually do this to send the pun to friends or family instead.
