Technical Difficulties: Please Stand By (mymap/goto/map-change-lag)

Greetings,

As many have undoubtedly noticed, commands like 'goto' have been slow to respond, and map rotation changes have been confoundingly delayed sometimes, so you start playing one map, then get yanked into another.

Just wanted to put forward that we're aware of the problem, and are actively looking into its cause... It's a slippery one, we moved the scripts to a whole different CPU and the lag got worse, not better... But I expect we'll have this bug beaten into submission soon.

heh..  last night servers went really haywire...  I understand the problems and figured it was all part of fixing it...

the netgraph looked like a red barcode...  me n manny decided to play a game that way...  turned out kinda funny.
he owned me hardore...  he had all the lucky packets    and got to fire his gun alot more than I did.

Oooooooooops.  Thanks for the heads up.  For some reason the scripts rebooted correctly on all servers except railz.  Fixed now.

this is better but not fixed.
If you type ANY command within the first 5 seconds of a map, it does not do anything.
often you can type any one command at the console after that first 5 seconds and it does nothing. "kill" for example often does nothing.

3 additional whines for the price of one!:
1) (which is actually number 2 ) there is a short list of maps available to mymap on vanilla. (although being able to mymap is a godsend as glorious as when God decided to give women two breasts)
2) having more than 12 players on ANY of the servers is silly, IMVHO.
