I think I'm caught in someone else's forced AC

I sent Quads a PM but I thought I would post something here to.

I checked Mutant, Railz, and Vanilla and they all tell me AC is required to join.  I was able to join yesterday, so this happened since then.
I'm guessing that I got caught up in a forced AC meant for someone else.

Then again maybe my LEET skills are why this has happened

Yes, your IP has wandered into a forced-AC subnet.

If your operating system is Windows, the simple solution would usually be to upgrade to an AC-enabled client.

I am assuming that if I want to continue to use 3.20 is a hassle for you.  I have used it since day one and I don't have to do anything but click and go.

No updates, antivirus, firewall, or new clients issues to deal with.

I went to the site and Win 7 64 bit was not listed as being compatible with AC, Is that still the case ?

If I do have to go to a new client - recommendations on which one is best ?

I used r1q2 and seems ok for me. except for some ocassional crashes

r1q2 is pretty good. I told you not use d3v's packet stealer and split rail hacs

aprq2 is nice for deathmatch because it has a clock cvar, so you can count items without having to use a clock or watch in real life. I would have already made the switch if I find the right settings for my sens in aprq2.

I installed R1Q2 and now I can play.  It seems to play slow and my timing it way off.  Is there any tweaks to make it feel like 3.20 ?

The following makes the movement like 3.20:

cl_async 0

You will probably want to keep:

m_directinput 1

...and adjust your sensitivity as needed.  You may also want:

m_fixaccel 1


Also, check whether your 'fov' setting may have changed.  If it's lower than it was under 3.20, movement will seem slower.
