Ok just tried the east.tastyspleen.net:27940 and that was also Connection refused

I was just able to connect to port 27910 no problem at all

Wow.  This sounds like a problem one guy had about a year ago. He could connect to 27910 OK, but had problems with the other ports.  We never figured it out. 

What operating system do you use?  Do you have any firewalls installed (either built-in or programs like ZoneAlarm?)  Do you connect through a router?

I use windows xp, I have the windows firewall turned off and i was mcafee. Ill try to disable that real fast and see if it lets me connects

You're banned. I can check the admin logs and take you off the blacklist. What's your IP btw, and the name you use to quake with.

It's lag issues. Happens to me on 56k connection all the time. Make sure you don't have anything you don't need running at the time, make sure no downloads, Or maybe you've just got a shitty isp that your connection falls to shit at certain times. Wish I could help more.

That does make sense. I get that all the time; It's like how I use free downloading services when I post up files because I always hate it when i have to pay to download stuff; others shouldn't have to go through the same thing.
