Yes, counter-intuitive to say the least.

The graph above was published alongside numerous others in an article in Free Inquiry magazine. As I recall the article went into detail about precisely the wording of the questions asked to gather the data. Hopefully I still have the issue kicking around somewhere unless it went out with the recycling...

I thought Israel was populated with "Jewish" Atheists by like 40-50%. Too lazy to verify this but I thought this was the case...maybe some other time =].

there are a decent number of christian and muslim peoples in Israel tho..

Isreal is full of people who think it's 'god's will' for them to be there..

It is a problem that may lead to the destruction of the world. You wouldn't believe how far this goes. A large percentage of people in power believe this to be true..

...and even more who are not within Israel who believe it is God's will for them to be there instead of those who are.

Well Iran sent people to observe North Korea's nuclear tests during the first phase of testing. A few thousand dirty bombs doesn't sound like a good scenario when millions of Iranian's want to kill the "infidels" after the holy war.

Not to worry, Israel's and the US's and Britain's nukes are bigger and cleaner and will preempt any move by Iran to launch theirs. A thoroughly cleaned Iran, consisting of molten glass will be a much better and less troublesome neighbor. And they won't have that problem with gays and all those messy hangings anymore. Even though evolution is just a theory, lots of things that we accept as common knowledge are also, theories. Like take for example, gravity! Gravity is a theory, and it is backed by physics science. Evolution is also a theory that we have backed by all these ancient bones and dust particles in the earth.
