KOTH player rotation suggestions

To be sure we keep more balance.  How about having any past KOTH players to play last in the rotation, beyond that players play in the order of their appearance on the server.

OR a grouping system with 2 or 3 levels

NOVICE - non competitive players who have played TDM 0-10 times max

SPORT - players who know what's going on, rarely play TDM

PRO - past KOTH winners, regular TDMers

I think we know pretty well which players fall in which..

Let's just come up with a PHP ladder system.  And have Friday nights as a matchup event where players can challenge other players based upon how the ladder system works.

Players can only challenge players at their level or higher.

Players can only challenge players at their level or higher.

The main feature of KotH is that it has no setup. You just connect and play without any ladders or administrative action. I like the idea of placing us newbs at the front and introducing pros later.

The simplicity of KOTH is a huge appeal, but I'm willing to see a little of that go away if it means better matchups for players. A simple list of people who've won before, and weighting their time accordingly (each win adds a minute to their join time) may work, though it may be a pain to actually do. So I'm open to any ideas at this point. I'm sure we'd all like to avoid seeing all of these one-sided matchups :)

I suggest having a time requirement :) say the event starts at 9 est, tell all beginners to join b4 that time so that some one can mcgiver an order of players up :) and let all the noobs play before the pros start, just let the pros go by order of who joined the server sooner after the noobs that showed up early are finished with their lineup... and by noobs im including anyone who isnt ownage :) as long as they can be fit into a list it should work

also there could be several time limits, noobs join b4 the event starts, good players join before 10, and pros before 11, and just have the before 9 people play until 10ish, then take the winner from that and pit them against the bottem person of the good players, and just keep going like that until your finished with all 3 lists... it gets rid of the kinda free flowing structure of koth but it adds plenty of structure to prevent a lot of the rapage that happens

Only problem i can really think with a system kinda like that, is that who is gonna make the list :/ jehar doesnt know everyone and has enough on his plate running the event

(I'm novice--I come in third-fifth a lot of the time on the DM server; played TDM only several times).
