That sounds like the universe expanding faster than the speed of light,  different than moving faster than the speed of light.

Something to do with the hubble constant,  and objects far enough away from us.
We only get to observer a tiny bubble of whats out there.

on the sci channel I heard that seconds after the big bang things traveled faster then the speed of light. Also heard someone say that currently there are objects moving away from us faster then the speed of light.
Is this theory or is there proof that the speed of light can be broken?

My (extremely limited) understanding is that objects can (in effect) move faster than the speed of light relative to one another when it is space-time itself that is expanding.

Quote
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Observable_universe

The age of the Universe is about 13.7 billion years, but due to the expansion of space we are now observing objects that are now considerably farther away than a static 13.7 billion light-years  distance. The edge of the observable universe is now located about 46.5 billion light-years away.
  ...
While it is commonly understood that nothing travels faster than light, it is a common misconception that the radius of the observable universe must therefore amount to only 13.7 billion light-years. This reasoning makes sense only if the Universe is the flat spacetime of special relativity; in the real Universe, spacetime is highly curved on cosmological scales, which means that 3-space (which is roughly flat) is expanding, as evidenced by Hubble's law. Distances obtained as the speed of light multiplied by a cosmological time interval have no direct physical significance.

I don't worship the devil. Jesus is Lord, friend. He died for your sins. He will forgive you if you just ask.
