Im just gonna go out on a limb and say any MMO that doesn't have huge hype and big name franchise backing it up will never take down WoW. I mean Aion might end up being great....but because it will never generate the excitement that a name like Warcraft does it will never be able to dethrone it. The next hope is the Star Wars game coming out...ill be hitting that one up.

tbh you're probably right, but from what the developers of aion are saying they dont want it to be a replacement for wow, it's supposed to be a pretty different game altogether. also a lot of people are dissatisfied with Blizzard atm so it could become rather popular. it's the second highest mmo ranked by suscribers, and it isnt even out in the NA/EU yet.
