Help with Editing models in Q2!

I would like to know how convert quake1 models to quake2 models players. I have the qguy, shambler and fiend models players that i got in net some time ago. I would like to make same with deathknight, armagon, gremlins, grunts, etc. Is possible?
How make too increase high quality and volume in the sounds.wav of models. In some model, he have sounds files very low. In other, the sounds file are very high. How can deal with it? :help: Thanks, later. :)

Quake2's animation system is a bit more comprehensive than Quake's, and so porting models correctly can take a lot of effort.  In addition to having to rig some new frames (for example, Quake models don't have crouch, wave1-wave4, or death2-4 sequences), you'd also have to create "vweap" models to go with them.  Vweaps are the copies of the gun models which animate around the player model, so that other people can see which weapon you are wielding.

All in all, unless you're an accomplished model designer and proficient with one of the tools that can actually author .md2 files (MilkShaps3D, Wings3D, maybe Quark (?)), I would just forget about the idea.

*Edit, this would also not be legal, btw.  Quake's data is still covered by their commercial license.

well, you don't HAVE to do v-wep's.  It's just considered a disadvantage to other players if you don't.  :)  (can't tell what you're using!)

if no vwep models are made the original vwep will still be used,so say u have a bright green chaingun skin for the original model  u still see people holding a brite green chaingun.

This is why it's best to leave player model downloading off, if everyone is a grunt you're sure to always have vwep models!

With no vwep it just uses weapon.md2.
