I've been starving for a 3d adventure game the past month so much that I started another invincible at level 1 character on Morrowind.

There's an adventure mod for Q1 I think. May be one for Q2 too (not this one).  Check the old MotW's I did, I reviewed one or two.

My favorite Q1 adventure mode was Rise of the Phoenix. I know there was Roanoke for Q2 which you can find on the TS downloads, but doesn't run in r1q2 or egl on my machine for some reason. I took a few stabs at adventure games and never could quite push myself from the coding phase to the content phase.

So far this is very raw and basic, and there's plenty of mapping glitches that don't take double jumping into account. Otherwise it's a good taste of a quake2 engine with terrain before Q2W is a sweet, awesome, steal all the fans finshed product.

Anyone ever play Future vs. Fantasy Q1?
Such an awesome mod with the right maps... very creative too
Leveling up your cyborg ninja, to play with your friend the casting wizard monk (or wtf ever you make)


ANother fun Q1 mod was Q1 superheroes... blatant ripoffs of all the big name superheroes made into Q1 characters with fun and funny super powers.
I liked being radiation man or whatever, and killing people by just being near them
