DnD per se was never much to my taste- always preferred Gygax's Legendary Adventure (or Petersens CoC really) for some good roleplaying But what is it exactly you're doing? Modding 1st ed? Or is this totally homebrew?

Totally home brew. I've got 2 test groups for it and a second writer working on an advanced expansion. It's also story independant so it can be plugged into any background story you so wish (currently only supporting medevil-fantasy genre)

One of the test groups will begin on on friday nights roughly 9:00 and be broadcast over the shoutcast server so long as an audience is willing. After a successful test I'll put up the basic rules for a version 1.0 that anyone can play and test at their leisure.

P.S. I think I'll be a post nazi after this point in this thread to remove further mentions of politics. My own included if that is neccissary. I'm really excited about getting an hour long weekly D&D session going.

Okay, so give me the rundown - Is it skill-based, class-based? Percentile, d20, d6? Any unique features?

Or HeroQuest, depending Looks good and simple in a very combat-oriented kind of way so far (reminds me a lot of a tactical game like HeroScape or somesuch). One thing I may want to warn you about though - having skills tied directly to the stats - with each class's skills depending largely on one or two stats could easily lead to some pretty extreme minmaxing. Play it out often, and see what happens with it. Do you have a group of friends dedicated and interested enough to do this with you? If so, you're lucky

Actually it's a mix between HQ and Dragon Strike. Most people have never played either so it's eaiser to just say risk since the end product resembled it as well.

Thanks for taking a look at it, I need as much input as possible. There are a few things I'm debating on changing so hopefully the 2 groups will give me enough input. I'm most interested in making a beginners system like HQ that can be played in less than an hour because nobody, especially me, ever have time anymore for a real campaign. So simplicity overuled some advanced changes I've been thinking about. Either way I am really lucky to get test groups.
