Odd mega jump - Calling jump experts :)

I saw Naymlis do something similar,  but is it possible to do face on on the corner?
I try it twice semi succesfully,  then went to a similar jump in sg room and nailed it rather nicely.
shorter height and distance though,  but a kewl jump.

Someone was trying to show us it one night and it just clicked for me tonight

While messing with the sg/box room jump, 
I came across an odd jump combo.

Shown here 4 times,  but it was almost back to back succesful jumps
just shown twice.

The one you saw Naymlis do was using old physics.  Without the mid-air acceleration.  Allowed you to jump off a ledge, and circle around and land where you started from.  I think you can still do it, something like "sv_airaccel 0" or something close to that, I forget what it is.

Pretty sure that's what you're talking about anyway.  I don't believe current physics allows that jump.  Though that is an interesting jump you make there by the SG.

that would explain it..    can imagine the "fooled you" strat of jumping off a ledge like that

Hmm... makes me wonder what it would be like to take:

  air_accel(true) functions and air_accel(false) functions

and keep the velocity result from the air_accel(false) [read: circle/strafe jump] and the angular result from the air_accel(true) ... sort of ...

Meaning  -  in Q2, the air_accel and the non-air_accel angular+velocity calculations are separate functions.  It seems it should be possible to synthesize the results of the two functions, such that one would get air_accel turning jumps, in addition to the traditional circle-strafe jumping...

 Im sure after some rainey day he'll have a sheridan update that incorperates both 

I dunno if the community would be ready for it,
Im just now getting some of the hang of movement and you wanna go and change it up on me

air accel is basically useless besides like 2 silly jumps that u can do 6 other ways 

basically same function as using maxfps 27,  btw that sg jump is just a plain double jump with a 180, and it's completely useless :p

um, not useless at all.. granny would know this if he had 1/4 of the skill flarez has; a skilled jumper and tdm'er that is "obviously not a 1on1 player" yet hung with purri into overtime with only a 35 ping advantage.
