what can be done?

heyas

iv come accross some hud graphics, they seem to be higher quaility versions of quake3's
i only found 3, and id like to make ones for the other weapons/ammo
but i totaly lack any expert knowledge with graphic pragrams

Id say get with adam,  he just put together a really nice verson of the warsow hud for Q2

well dude, you can always make the basic outline shapes in Paint...
the gradient effect on these ones is pretty minimal and you could easily fake it on small HUD graphix like these.

just use similar colors and smooth them together with a more versatile graphix util.

I use a freeware util called Irfanview, for editting simple graphix. It's really easy to use, and learn.
It's capable of opening, editting, and converting almost every popular graphix file format, and it has some nice filters and crop/resize functions. It makes really clean .png files and nice high quality .jpg too.

bah i guess this was tougher than i thought, been playing around all morning to see what i could do 
i just damn wish there was some artistic people in the quake2 community, that would make some new hud and weapon/item skins 

im not experinced enough/dont have the patience
