Can't change to models past the letter N

OK, this is a good one. If I go into the Q2 menu to change models, I can only display models whos names start with the letters A through N. It just stops at a models name that starts with N. If I pull the console down, I can manually change to the other models past N. I have no problem seeing other players that are using those models. I tried deleting the models that start with N and O, but then I couldn't get past the letter M models. I installed Q2 on another PC and copied over the Players directory and it did the same thing. Has anyone ever heard of this before? I'm trying to avoid rebuilding my model colection.

I believe that in the model selection menu in Q2 that it will only display up to a certain number of models.
I've noticed this myself.
Q2 ice on the other hand seems to show them all.

well i hardly even use any models or skins the ones i have are the ctf ones, dukies skins and arts gi joe oh and some black skin some one uses all the time...he thinks no one can see him in the dark or soemthing ?

Hi Fmax,
          Ususally when you cant display past a certain letter in the skins...it means you have a loose file in there somwhere.Go through your players folder and delete any excess files (not folders)...just files that are not in any folder.That should do the trick.

P.S. Since you cant go past "N" you might wanna look close to the "N" section for the file.

Yaaaa! Mat you got it. I looked in the player folder and there was a file called none.pcx. I deleted it and now I can get to all the player models. Not that I would be anything but a cow.

yes that none.pcx bug is fairly common but usually for some reason once you delete it i wont come back so awesome... the other bug skin you should be aware of is the $_i.pcx $.pcx combo that usually appears in the players directory it self, preventing you from viewing all your skins. I have only gotten it once and deleted it, but just figured i would put that out there for ppl to know.

Me, i just set binds to a skin changer config i made so i can easily switch to the skins i want.
