Jehar, in an effort to keep the thread on topic, u can surely feel free to delete my original responce to this guy.
I don't know why he feels the need to turn this into a Texas love/hate thread but I feel I contributed to the thread's demize greatly.

Qcon just happens to be in texas because that's where id software is at.
That should answer your question. If you still need to bash Texas, that's fine. Make a new "Texas Sucks" thread.

Being in California, I flew last year, but I'm probably going to drive it this year, despite numerous warnings of how retarded that makes me. On the upside of this, though, I can sleep indoors for free, bring people with me, and transport attendees where they need (ie the ts lan party )
