Quakecon 2005 Demos - won't play

Everytime I start up one of these matchs the server shuts down. Seems like some sort of protection is on them. It is only on the batch of Q2 Quakecon 2005 demos that are available at Cyberfight. Anyone know how to get around them? Others at that site wrote in about the same thing and a link was posted as to the solution - but I see nothing specific on the link page.

then demomap purri.dm2 etc.. should work.

DM server is fucked. 2 point blank rockets from spawn and lava damage and player survived? WTF?" Also someone has fucked with the spawn points, every single time no matter how big the map you spawn right in front of the person who killed you last
