CTF maplist file

Hello all.

I am trying to set up a CTF server with a fairly long list of maps in the rotation. The list is too long to use sv_maplist "map1 map2 map3 etc".

I have tried sv_maplist "maplist.txt"
and made a maplist.txt file with a list of maps and <end> on the final line.

It just doesnt work though. No error message but it doesnt follow the list of maps in maplist.txt.

Any help with this is much appreciated.

What mod are you trying to run in CTF mode?

The original game code allowed for you to set sv_maplist as you indicated. You also want to make sure that dmflags is not setting bit 5 (value 32) or it won't rotate levels.

There were a couple of mods out there that didn't use a maplist file. You had to specify the map rotation on the command line, which was rather limiting.

Don't worry, its no longer a problem. I installed and configured LFire CTF and the map list works. Also allows map voting which is another thing I wanted.
