Nexuiz?

so i know there is a free arena shooter named nexuiz... that is like a completely nerfed q3/qw kinda thing that i thought kinda sucked...

but there is a commercial game called nexuiz as well that looks REALLY fun and pretty good more of a throw back to ut2k4 than a quake experience, but faster and it looks really cool check it out on youtube

There was an interview, or some such, last year where one of the developers discussed how going commercial was a tough decision. Kind of a community splitter. I don't think anyone could have guessed that they would have abandoned id-tech for crysis.

Seeing as the game used rocket jumping as the primary source of movement... I have not idea how that remake can be any good. Sell outs.

It's a non-GPL version of their GPL game.  That's pretty much it.

its extremely updated, with a larger community backing it than the free version, seems they turned up the damage a lot as the original seemed very nerfed

was watching dev stuff too, rj'in is still in the game even on the new engine, and the movement from gameplay doesnt seem too bad on the new engine either... not idtech so that will piss fanboys off, but i am just excited for a new arena style shooter to have some fun on doesnt look like anything serious, it wont match the competitiveness of quake tdm or ctf, but it does look like a ton of fun to screw around on

all around it just looks like a really enjoyable game and i cant wait for the pc version, plus it does have really nice looking graphics for those that only care about looks....
