I see that Foc's Georgia Tech team will have two Mississippi teams in it's Regional. Hmmmm I could give you some intel, but you'd probably tell the team and use it against us.

Before this is over, we may need to conduct a gentleman's wager....

I don't expect Georgia Tech to make it to the super regionals. Personally, I think Vanderbilt has the best batting, I'd go with them all the way depending on how it works out. Doesn't matter how good your fielding defense is when there isn't a pitcher who can smoke swinging strikes past their amazing crew of hitters. My brother-in-law is Virginia alumnus. He came over Memorial Day for a bit and I was pretty surprised to hear that he was a little more interested in the Virginia lacrosse championship game (which they won later that day) than the baseball team. I was hoping to get an in through him on some kinda NCAA baseball pool or something but he hasn't been into baseball for several years, he's mainly been into NCAA football bowl game pools and NCAA basketball finals bracket pools. They all throw in somewhere around 50 bucks and only the top few winners really win any money, not my style of sports betting. I prefer to put money on individual games so I can double up and triple up on succeeding game payouts when I lose and get my money back.

So far I've never screwed myself into debt doing it either. Quite the contrary, I've made great money doing it.

Anyway... University of Georgia made it in too. I have no hopes of them making it past round 1 either.

I still can't find a comprehensive section covering NCAA baseball on Yahoo Sports or ESPN.com, but I did manage to find this easy to read bracket on ESPN in case anyone's interested.

CWS Finals - Florida against South Carolina, both SEC teams.

Yea, it's down to two really good teams now. To be honest, I was pulling for Vandy, just because they have never made the World Series; much less the championship. S.C. won it last year, but I don't think they'll repeat....Florida has that special team mojo that will inspire them to claim the series 2-1. Or do they just play 1 game? Either way, its Florida with 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th to win 5-3 in the final game.

Florida got a well deserved loss lastnight. If you have the bases loaded with no outs and can't score OR you throw the ball around like you back in little league - you deserve to lose. Lastnight Florida did BOTH

Congrats to SC for winning their 2nd CWS in a row

Florida had a good season with their Baseball & Softball teams making it to the championship series.

Florida did not win

but at least a SEC teams won the title

I think that is 4 in a row for the SEC.

Looks like we were all off on this one.

S.C. - two CWS championships in a row...wow. And I think they did it without losing a game for quite a stretch. Impressive job. I really thought Florida would put up more of a challenge.

Now it's on to Women's World Cup!!!!!!
