He's got big spurs, the less visible one actually has an abnormal hook to it and is about an inch longer. It's crazy looking.

I used to have dominecker (spelling) roster.  They are mostly black with a little lighter under color.  He was a big mofo and he thought he was a badass everytime you got near him 

I used to use a old CB antenna bent into a hook on the end to snatch his leg at the spur.  Once I had him upside down he would calm down, as soon as I let him go, back at me he would come

No one does that around here. He's just a big SOB, unfortunately after a scuffle with an osprey a few months ago he died though. Just made this thread mainly to show him off a little bit in his memory in the form of a joke.

Krill Mule said what I think about him, he's a big beautiful bird. And actually the nicest rooster I've seen, he'd let you pick him up, and even walk on to your arm....... lol. very unlike any rooster I've had. Probably why he didn't stand even a chance against the osprey, although they are pretty vicious themselves.

Osprey vs Rooster = dead rooster.  Sad to see a proud "man" like that go down. I am closer to getting some Rhode Island Red chickens myself, but a bunch of my neighbors beat me to it and I'm trying to learn from them first.  One thing I know for sure from their experiences - everything loves fresh chicken or chicken eggs!

We had chickens at this house in the middle of the city, so we couldn't get a rooster. i used to get super baked and feed them corn.  Fucking racoons ripped them to shreds tho...bastards.

Probably gonna start raising cattle for extra cash next spring, maybe some chickens too since I already have a big chicken house on some land I bought a while back. Never had any chickens before myself. My moms aunt and uncle live out on a big cattle ranch in the middle of nowhere. I remember growing up when we used to go out there every spring for one of the two yearly family reunions (one on their farm in April or May, the other at my moms cousins church in Stone Mountain some time in December). Anyway, I remember one year we got there kinda early. All us kids were jumping on their trampoline. Thing was rusted to shit and the springs would always pinch the fuck out of the backs of your legs when you got off and on the damn thing. We see aunt Edna going over to the chicken coop, so we all go running over there thinking she's gonna feed the chickens and we're gonna watch. Nah, she wasn't feeding them. She grabbed one, picked it up by the neck, and starts violently swinging it around in a circle until it's neck breaks and it dies, which absolutely HORRIFIED the shit out of us to see her kill what we all thought was just her pets. She was this little old lady, older than dirt, and religious as you can get. Never said a cuss word a day in her life, probably never even said "darn" because she would consider it a cuss word. Like... so religious that I doubt she had sex to have her children because she thought it was too dirty, Uncle Harv probably jacked off on a chair and she accidentally sat on it and got pregnant.
