Q2 keeps hostign on localhost, I do not want it to do this....

I unblocked ports, and my modem is not a router, why gives? my IP keeps reverting to locahost which is not good, anyways I can change this or better yet connect to my DNS server?  I want to host multiple, but I can pass squared one, stil localhaot,  I need ot to detect my IP or use my DNS so my webiste can detect the port is in use... or open for business...  Any thoughs on this,  If you cna help me, then it will solve a million of other issues on hosting in Q2.

specify a static ip for ur pc and check  check ur cable port and cables for loose wires and dirt terminals

Here is my problem, I am hosting by DNS, which works fine from my end, and elminated the locahost bit, however, my PHP on my site is not detected the port open for business like it did for Seal, is there  a specific port I need it to listen to to register that my servers are up?  Besides 27910 ~ 27921?

Read up on NAT. Your computer is behind a router and the router uses NAT to make all the computers in your home look like a single IP on the WAN side. This is required by your ISP.
 
Then look up "port forwarding" for your router.

Ahhh  the early days.   We had a 3 pc lan type setup in 97/98 (winGate?) and got separate ips for each system.  Forget when that changed but it messed up our quakin.
Could no longer have 2 players on the same server,  big bummer as we liked playing ctf.
