This can be a great, constructive thread without all the nonsense in it. Once you delete this guys for a while, they'll start to get the hint and go find some other post to flame. It is common for threads to go off topic and / or become total cluster fucks in these forums.I suggest just deleting it. A lot of these kids don't have any respect for anyone but eventually they'll get bored and move on. Prime example of what happens when parents don't discipline their kids, they end up being tastyspleen forum trolls! heheSorry to see your own clan mate doing it though, figured he'd have a little more respect for your thread, but i guess a troll is a troll...Focalor is no troll. He and I share many of the same ideas and morals. So go fuck yourself.lol

You're all horrible. STFU, kthx!
Quote from: Whirlingdervish(Q2C) on October 21, 2008, 08:35:48 AMReally tho, there's a simple solution here that would allow you to go about your business after proving that you're legit:DEMO OR STFU.

Processor,Delete all the flames so we can continue this thread, the baby trolls will get the message at some point, trust me. Once they all get some nap time in and a baabaa they'll go away. I don't think they'll hold it against you or feel like you're playing sides, I'm sure even they know they look like idiots with all this incessant hot air.
Quote from: [BTF]Sigma on October 21, 2008, 08:12:40 AMThe TDM demo recording could possibly be enhanced using a "flag" command" similar to what you see in emails. Players in a match can type "flag player" is they feel there is a possibility of cheating and this can be attributed to the demo they are recoprded in. This ID's the demo as suspect and the admins can filter out demos that have things in common with each other (number of flags in the round, player total flags in the round, frequency of player being flagged)I like the idea in general. I still think the first step would be adding the ability for the server to auto-record a serverdemo with everyone's point of view. (Like warsow does.)Technically, this would be something I or others should be able to incorporate into OpenTDM fairly easily. Alternately, it could be scripted, which would probably be better, as then it could work with any mod.Unfortunately, I doubt our system has the ability to handle recording serverdemos from several dozen q2 servers simultaneously. So it's likely a feature that would have to be limited to a subset of servers (like the tourney servers.)Alternately, I suppose a 'tag' or 'report' command could trigger a serverdemo record... But of course you'd miss the actual moment that inspired the 'tag' in the first place, so... it would be preferable to always be recording serverdemos if possible...Anyway...Some possibilities to ponder...Regards,

Quote from: TooMuchFun on October 21, 2008, 09:58:47 PMIn my case,I tried getting anticheat to work.Downloaded and installed the DLL,and tried each of the alternate executables that can use it. I normally run EGL 1.7 because I can actually move with it,and see things, unlike the other alternate EXEs out there that support anticheat.Just now,I tried R1Q2 and loading anticheat crashed it.Q2Pro won't load my model or any past the letter B,so that's out.And Aq2 crashed as well.I don't cheat.Even when I am having my rare good days I get accused of it. But if everyone is forced to use anticheat, what happens to me? Winning is nice but not important, but being able to play is. The whole anticheat thing is but cobbled together stuff by fans, and consequentially not expected to work perfectly,as little in software does. I will stick to my 1.7 for now...and hope .Cheaters are out there, but they can only shoot what's in front of them after all What OS are you running?
