Hell no it wouldn't! YOU'RE CRAZY! When I started playing at TS, I was playing on my piss poor piece of poop old Pentium3 500mhz, 8mb S3 Savage4 video card, with 56k dail-up modem in tow. Not to mention the plethora of internet VD I had jumping OUT of the fucking floppy drive at me. I played. I got my ass KICKED. It was bad. Very bad. I managed to get a few frags here and there on PeeWee[RotA]'s old MegaMan Q2 server, but anywhere else, a frag was nothing other than pure dumb luck.

I remember many many moons ago (and many drugs ago too, so it's a wonder I remember at all), the good old days of Mplayer. We ALL had 56k, and we ALL sucked. Well, except for NYGANG, those guys all had pussy cable and DSL. A lot of folks used hacks RAMPANTLY. I saw that shit first hand soooooo many time. In fact, I was one of them, hehe. My ping was so horrible, it didn't really matter anyway. I had no clue how to tweak a config, might as well get some artificial skills. Yeah, I used a ratbot. But on Mplayer servers, you always knew who was using one. You simply type the word "ratbot" in the chat, and the person (or personSSSSSS, as it was a lot of times), the bot would immediately echo back to everyone else on the server, "Yeah! I'm a R A T B O T!!!"

Gawd, those were days. Gas was less than 2 bucks a gallon ALL THE TIME. "Pulling out" was a clinically recognized method of birth control. And a whole ounce of some decently smokable marijuana cost 90 bucks.

I was there on Mplayer then too, Focalor.
The only difference is in 2000 i bought a new computer that I still play Q2 on and I'm still on dial-up
