I just installed Batman: Arkham Asylum the other day.  I'm at the very very beginning, just past the first cinematic.  I've heard it's a really good game, so I may try to get into it.

What is the official logo?  I think there should be a weird looking dude eating a spleen, or licking it at least.  "TS" could be confused as "transsexual".  Not too sure I'd wanna be "prancing" around with a T-shirt that said that.

2 less hops for me for "67.228.53.218", and about the same ping as "tastyspleen.net" via tracert

If I had to guess, I'd say Alpha is speaking from a teenager's POV?  I hope anyway.

I will totally admit to pirating "almost" every game I play, or have played.  With that said, if I actually end up liking the game, and play it for a significant period of time, I like to support the developers/creators/etc (at least I hope I am) and I buy it.  If I download a game, try it, play it for a couple days, and find it uninteresting, I am usually thankful that I did NOT pay for it.

I'm going pretty low-key this BF, as I usually do.  Just shopping from the comfort of my own home, on my computer.  Picked up a refurb B&N Nook e-Reader for $86.  I don't read much now, but maybe this will encourage me to read more =P  Picked up a couple games on the cheap from some of Steam's sales.

I would have loved to have gotten that 42" 1080p Plasma from buy.com for like $298 shipped.  Would like to get a new SSD and/or a large 2TB drive for storage.  Also itchin to FINALLY get an LCD, though not sure if I'll like em.  Still sportin a 19" CRT.

What about you guys... any epic BF scores to brag about?

What newsgroup client would you guys recommend?  And to get the "good" stuff, does one have to join some group or something to have access to the better sites/servers?

Newsgroups are where its at.

I think I'm at about ~14 years on the internet now? (first time using it was on Web TV, I think) and I've STILL not taken the time to learn how to use newsgroups.  Other than always hearing that it's the best way to get the newest games, w4r3z, pr0n, music, etc., I don't know much more about it than that.

Is it sorta like FTP, in that it's a different way to access info than HTTP, or the typical WWW?

frostwire?

I downloaded Frostwire last night.  Looks almost identical to Limewire, and seems to function the same too.  Thanks!

Are there any other programs that are similar to Limewire that serve the same function?

Quake / Re: is this card any good?
« on: November 21, 2010, 06:35:37 AM »
what is the best connection to use from my card to my monitor? here is a picture of my card. ATM i am using the blue connection which is the normal vga i think but i was told if i use the other one it will be heaps better again. i do have the cable and the extra slot on my monitor for it, so which should i use? or can i use both at the same time?

You cannot, or shouldn't use both at the same time.  I can't think of any reason you'd want or need to, and it would probably cause problems.  The only reason you'd want to use both at the same time is if you were hooking up 2 monitors.

For 1 monitor, use the white/DVI connector if your monitor has the DVI input on the back.

Haven't looked at any of the demos, but I can see you put a lot of effort into this, so for that  :smiley_abtu:
