It would be interesting to know precisely which bullet points of "hydrochloroquine studies" he was wrong about on April 11th compared to whatever bullet points might've been mentioned in CNN's... EDITORIAL, NOT NEWS.... on July 2nd as ways that it helped patients.

It's important to note this, everyone. Realize this right here and now. Doesn't matter if you disagree with me on this, that's fine, just know that you're WRONG. CNN does NOT have news anymore. ALL of it is "editorial." 100% of it.

There is only one source for real news on TV anymore. That is your local 5 o'clock news. They're the ONLY people left in your world who actually just sit there and tell you what happened. CNN, Fox, YoungTwinks, whatever, they all pick what they want to talk about and only talk about that. But your local news talks about regular shit: murders, rape sprees, county commissioners yelling at people in meetings, THINGS THAT HAPPEN.

And now realize that before long, even THEY might change the format.

Shit your pants now or later, but resistance is futile.

2. Pedestrians are not permitted on interstates

I don't understand the point of that kind of protest at all. When you're protesting, you want to be seen, right? If they go ahead and block off the interstate, who sees it? So obviously the motive behind it was to simply be disruptive. Mail and trucking commerce can't use those important interstates to get shit through, ambulances can't get through to take people with heart attacks to the hospital for urgent life-saving procedures, etc etc. That's not a protest, that's like hijacking.

The roads were shut down by the police, so by the act of the driver accessing it at all he was already committing an offense, but doing so by going the wrong way on an off ramp makes it 2 or more charges already. Yeah they broke several laws and killed someone, maybe 2 people before it's over,... but...

Pedestrians are not allowed on the fucking interstate. That's a law ON THE BOOKS. There are signs posted indicating that on interstates all over the country. When the police blocked the roads to enable them to do that, they were breaking the law. His shirt in that one picture apparently says "Harvard" on it. If he's a Harvard student... he comes from money and will likely have decent legal defense. It'll be interesting to see how this goes.

I know the left wants to blame the driver (or Trump... or whatever else), and the right wants to blame the protesters, but I think I mostly fault the police on this one. State patrol should've gotten those people the fuck out of there the minute they knew they were attempting to protest on the interstate on foot. They attempted that shit here in Atlanta right off the North Ave/Georgia Tech exit I think, and the GA State Patrol were on them IMMEDIATELY and moved them out, no games, no fucking around, they got it done and made it known that you ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT impede traffic on the interstate.

Anyone ever watch the HBO series John Adams? Came out 13 years ago. I've watched it 4 times maybe, it's 7 or 8 1 to 1.75 hour episodes. Historically accurate, and produced well like a typical good HBO series. I used to have a habit of watching it every other July 4th. Last time was a couple years ago when I got my wife to watch it. At a glance... You can watch it on Hulu, Vudu, and prime now. Prime it's 9.99 for the whole series in UHD. I recommend it.

 :yessign: :yessign: :yessign:

Yes, it was very good. You might not think of Paul Giamatti as a good lead actor, but this miniseries showed that he's far more than a typecast character actor. I'd give it a 9/10. Probably my favorite miniseries HBO ever did. Better than Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Game of Thrones, The Sopranos, all of 'em.

And John Adams never owned slaves.

But don't expect that to keep people from tearing down any statues of him. After all, he did nothing while President to end slavery, so he's obviously complicit. Lincoln did plenty to end slavery, and he doesn't get a pass either. So who knows, perhaps one day people will tear down statues of Barrack Obama because he's perceived as racist or somehow retroactively complicit in the slave trade.

Everything has to have social or political commentary these days. One thing that annoyed me recently:

I finally got around to downloading all of 2019 season episodes of South Park. And because I virtually NEVER watch Comedy Central anymore (because it's always a bunch of un-funny overly-political SHIT), I figured I'd binge watch EVERY single episode from season 1 to season 23. And after about a month straight of watching damn near nothing but South Park, I finally finished season 23 earlier tonight. But over the past several weeks as I've watched the episodes, I've checked the wiki pages for each episode as well to refresh myself about the basis for some of the jokes and parodies in the show. And at the bottom of each page is a section for "critical reception", which is basically all about what the TV critics said about each episode. And these people are some of the most worthless fuckers on God's gray earth. Damn near every episode, the guy reviewing shit for IGN always seems to be mentioned as giving his degree of approval for each episodes social or political commentary content. ::)

I believe Quadz posted some shit a while back talking about how these people like IGN or metacritic review video games, and if the story in the game doesn't follow or gel with the clearly left-biased agenda of these people, they give them a bad rating, and it hurts their sales. Or something similar to that. So it's basically blackmailing game makers into making certain types of games.

Parker and Stone have their political beliefs, but one thing they try to never do is get all preachy and shit about things, because that's what fags and douchebags do, and they try to avoid being fags and douchebags as much as they can.

And in the last few seasons, things have gotten rather soft with the show. Cartman doesn't make nearly as many racist or jew jokes anymore. They've always tried to shock viewers by being offensive, and all the shit they pick to offend people with lately is really only the "safe" shit. They've lost their balls as far as the writing goes. And after the frenzied amount of woke cult cancellation we've had this Summer, I imagine the pressure to reign shit in even more is going to make for a even lamer season 24 of South Park this fall.

{youtube video}

Great example of how deception by omission via edited videos (supremely FAKE NEWS) to spark outrage and division in this country. This way the government has a moral excuse the next time they take away your rights.

This is part of a systematic attack on America and everything it stands for. Yet a large portion of the people we need to be speaking out against are the ones controlling the extent of our free speech.

Jesus. That shows you someone's motivation as well. When one person pulls a fucking GUN on the other, and they just stand there continuing to antagonize the person with the gun... they are shit-disturbing assholes, and more importantly, they are FUCKING RETARDED. IT'S A GUN. The leading cause of death in all altercations involving one person who is in possession of a firearm is DEATH BY GUNSHOT.

If inmates continually try to break out of a prison, but are never successful, always failing, does it make sense to, in response to those failed attempts, shut that prison down entirely to prevent further attempts?

Yes. If inmates repeatedly do things like chip away at vents and obtain access to utility corridors, they close that prison. Alcatraz, most notably, but many others also.

I wouldn't mind them so much if they hadn't gone and done the extremely annoying and crooked thing of pursuing and hiding behind a tax exempt status.

We can talk about legalizing drugs and expanding gambling and casinos, all for the benefit of tax revenue, all of which are proven to cause more problems in our society... and meanwhile the good wholesome people who "just want to help" in these different religions can remain tax exempt in their huge obscenely lavish mega-churches.

From that page:

“He can disown everything if nobody ever told him about it,” Bolton said.

Jackass statement of the year.

The first thought this asshole has is, "The Russians supposedly pay jihadis to kill Americans... mkay, how can we assign guilt for this to Trump?"

It's not so surprising though. Anyone who thinks the Cold War definitively ended isn't paying attention. What's changed? The Russians are still there, they still have nuclear weapons, procedures are still in place for mutually assured destruction if one side takes a shot with a nuke.

Thinking back to Ukraine, Crimea and the Ukrainian Revolution of 2014... the US clearly supported and funded independence from Russia. And it's probably important to remember that Ukraine is an important oil reserve in that region.

It doesn't shock me at all that Russia would fund the Taliban. And it's also important to note that the Taliban's role in things over there has evolved to a degree. The Taliban themselves are at odds with other groups that are fighting against the US as well. Explaining who is who is not as simple as labeling everything either Coke or Pepsi. But as always, Russia and the US are going to continue to throw obstacles in the paths of each others global objectives so long as it can't be seen as a direct opposition. And funding the Taliban might be seen as direct opposition, but I suspect it's really not. I don't think they'd do it without having done it in a way where they can somehow call it humanitarian aide that was hijacked and used for other purposes.

But if they have solid proof that Russia has been playing "jihad for hire", then I would think more outrage should be tossed towards Russia than President Trump. I don't understand why the media seems to be lashing Trump to the stake about this shit while saying little to nothing critical about Russia.

Yes. Of course.

Because we had sars2, riots, the Wendy's burned down, old people on golf carts spitting on each other, and breakfast condiments accused of racism... I can't keep up, which seal are we on in the Book of Revelations?

Everyday, there's something else. Another domino falls.  :ohlord:

Another one from the comments:

Aaeren A - 34 minutes ago
But I'm a part of the smallest minority on planet Earth....

The Individual.

We're sorry. We no longer recognize that word.

I made a post maybe a week ago about how I felt like this whole "movement" was somewhat imaginary or not real and only existed within social media's parallel universe of herd mentality. I don't use Twitter or Facebook or any of that shit, so I can't really gauge what is actually going on. Is it possible for you to know what is REALLY going on based on what you're seeing, or are you only seeing certain things?

I assume you subscribe or whatever to certain peoples feeds and those feeds probably mirror your own opinions. When I talk to my mom about facebook, she seems to say that most of what she sees on there is pro-Trump and she doesn't get how so many people can really be pro-Democrat. Obviously being pro-Trump herself, she's linked to others who feel the same, and that's what she sees.

From my perspective, on the rare occasions that I do get out (with the exception of weekly or bi-weekly grocery trips, I'm still bunkered in place until a covid vaccine is ready), people don't seem to be as engrossed in this shit as they appear to be on the news or on the internet.
