Oh yes, I remember this all too well. Let's hope it isn´t the same person(s).

The incident you described looked more like a coordinated 'assault' on Tasty's by (a) stubborn asshole(s) with a grudge and the know-how.
From what I recall they weren´t really playing they just let some nifty script run that filled the server up with bots on autopilot that got stuck everywhere.

However, that person we just caught aimbotting I've been silently following for awhile now. The more people are in the server the more often his bot gets confused and triggered by targets that are in the proximity but out of his view. He seems to try to hide it by focussing mainly on the pre-clicked corner shots. If you're on the receiving end it is harder to tell and it feels more like being wallhack´d.

If there are any admins reading this I´d suggest at least banning the IP that comes with these two aliases and then wait and see if that keeps him away. If it's the same douchebag from a while ago then we will probably see him back very soon. Absolutely worth the effort because it might be a different person.

Sounds like it could perhaps be the same person from years ago who would connect multiple non-human controlled bots at once hoping to take up excess space and frustrate people into leaving. They used a VPN to keep changing their IP and avoid the numerous bans. It became a game of whack-a-mole where we had to repeatedly and methodically manually blackhole the IP's as it happened, sometimes several times in a day, just being consistent with it until the person finally got tired of putting forth the effort.

At this point, I've heard different accounts from different players and it sounds like it could be multiple individuals cheating at different times. Keep posting demos, but try to notify admins via discord if it's happening live and maybe they can hop on and deal with it immediately, which would be better. While they're still on, it's easy to list the IP and blackhole it right away. If they've left, they'll need to search through logs for it, and likely the player will stop using that IP afterwards anyway.

Good catch actually, I've had my eyes on the same player and recorded a few demos on Saturday the 20th.
I converted some to MP4 clips. Pretty blatant aimbotting I'd say. I slowed down playbackspeed to 'timescale 0.5' right before the aimbot does its thing and snaps to target.

The subject is a player who pings around the 160's - No doubt he has a ton of names but his most recent ones are Shi-sho and Adrenaline_Hunk and he sometimes spams the cheezy taunt-messages from the old Gladiator/Eraser bots. Apparently the taunt-messages wasn't the only thing he borrowed from it.

The unedited demos are attached to the bottom of this post. You can watch them for yourself in normal speed without my edits.

@ 0:00, :: I truncated this video a bit too short but in the very first second of the video you'll see him trying to RJ up to the invul spot, failing the first jump because his bot fires the rocket to a distant target.
@ 0:07, frag 16 :: He jumps down from invul and rails the perfect corner shot through the door opening
@ 0:40, frag 19 :: Coming from Railgun area he rails ´lord_morto´ sitting at the machinegun, without pre-aiming this is an impossible angle
@ 0:47, frag 23 :: (see image above) - He walks up to an edge and rails 'Rafpaf', his railshot snaps to left but his view angle doesn't even change
@ 1:04, frag 25 :: Oh come on, it doesn´t get more obvious

(see image above) - Short clip where he approaches the upper GrenadeLauncher and some dude is camping the high spot on the left (near the shards) ... While facing straight ahead the railshot snaps to the left fragging the camper. After taking the camper's spot he keeps nailing one after the other from there.

@ 0:00 :: This clip starts with some wall-grazing corner rails
@ 0:19 :: (see image above) - Coming from lower SSG he's making his way up the staircase to Railgun. (Slowed down) you can see how his two SSG shots hit someone on the walkway (notice the blood splatter is nowhere near his crosshair)
@ 0:31, frag 11 :: Going around upper Chaingun walkway he rails yet another perfect corner pixel rail, no indication there was someone there
@ 0:36, frag 12 :: Same thing here
@ 0:50 - 0:57, frag 16 ::  After moving toward the Mega/Armor dropdown niche he suddenly does a 180 and shoots into a wall, comes back around and rails another impossible corner shot

This is actually very suspect. Few things that make me think that (using q2pro percentages as a timestamp):

20% in: He shoots himself with the rocket and dies, revealing that his crosshair was directly pointing at someone who was below him, but the floor was blocking the view. He did know he was there and it could have been a misclick, though.

37% in: He jumps in by GL and shoots almost immediately at the corner where the player is when he turns the corner. There was an obvious sound cue that someone was there, and a better player would definitely attempt that shot for fun so it's possible, but still interesting.

50% in: He shoots at someone from below the instant he comes into view. He did know someone was up there and that is a common position to shoot from up top, because you get view of the elevator and other players coming up from the water to get to the elevator. I wouldn't entirely put it past a better player to spam that particular spot for style points in case someone walks into it, but with rail especially in FFA it just doesn't seem all that likely.

71% in: He's following one player and then shoots another that comes up on the lift almost immediately when he comes into view. He had no reason to shoot there since his attention is clearly on the person at the bottom of the platform by the water since he was just shooting at him. There is a single sound cue that someone got out of the water there which would lead you to think someone will be there on the platform in a couple seconds but the context of that particular fight leads me to think he wasn't focused on that or aware of it.
This is probably the most suspect shot.

80% in: Jumps in the water and immediately shoots at the corner the second he comes into view. There's like a 1/10th of a second between when he gets in the water and he knows he's in that particular area in the water from the previous fight but it's really fast.

If it actually is a better player I could see some of these shots being made but since this dude's movement is straight booty cheeks it's far more likely he's cheating lmao

Insanely obvious in the second clip. Hitscan weapons that need continuous firing are more obvious than rail. The color aimbots that came out a while back are a little less obvious when it comes to hitscan because they target all over the player model, but this isn't one of those; it's a really bad, obvious one.

I just get the impression that the admins are very busy with life etc. They don't have the time. It's understandable, but bad news particularly for the DM server. I'm not even certain they read the forum. I mainly focused on making short clips here of the cheating because as I mentioned before I don't think they have the time (let alone time to view demos).

I get it, it's an ancient game and most have moved on but the players (what's left of them), on the DM server are WELL aware there's no active admin. So this is the result: you get this guy who was so tired of losing, he decided to cheat to compensate. There are no repercussions. This is the opposite of what's happening right now with Elysium over there, where everyone is accusing him because the skill gap between him and the average player is enormous.

HERE in these clips there is someone who actually IS cheating. And it's sad to watch. So in the meantime all I can do is just continue adding clips here every time I see this loser on the server.

I agree 100%. There's a ton of games with servers out that there are run by people with jobs and families, but they still find the time to play the game because they just like it that much. There's even communities on Discord and like for this very game that are way more active. I've always found it to be a poor excuse and it comes across like the players are the ones that have to pick up the slack of what a moderator or administrator should already be doing with none of the trust or authority that comes with actually being one.

So less people start playing, and that includes people who are more skilled. The more skilled people that stop playing, the less people that are around to quell the people who aren't and don't know the difference between a skilled player and a cheater. The paranoia and ignorance feeds on itself, not to make it sound more serious than it is in the grand scheme of things but still. For me personally, I stopped really playing because of the weirdly overly competitive and antisocial nature of FFA in current year. I've said what I needed to say about it and I don't feel any obligation to go out of my way to support a server or network that's never going to change.

And I really feel what you say about the skill gap. I've been on both sides and it's not fun.

Anyone who think elysium doesn't use some sort of exploit is just plain dumb. Yeah he has a 30 ping, however i don't care what your name is if it looks like shit and smells like shit, guess what.... it is shit! the guy jas been cheating all this time and its so blatantly obvious too. Dear oh dear you poor fools. lets not forget he stormed off from the game after he was forced anticheat and didnt re surface until he didnt have to use it anymore. Laughable

Alpha I've been talking to you for almost 15 years and I still don't know if you're trolling when you post things like this.
