The thing I like most in this map are the doors. They open already when you just come near them. You don't have to touch them as in usual maps. Also they don't produce the usual quakeish style door sound when they open, this would absolutely not fit in this realistic map. All maps should implement such nice working doors.

Or if you don't want to waste the 5 seconds it takes to bring down the console and type that, you can simply add binds to your config. Here's the spectator mode binds from my config:

bind 0 "spectator 0; wait; exec leavingspecmode.cfg"
bind 1 "spectator 1; wait; exec enteringspecmode.cfg"

(contents of "leavingspecmode.cfg")

Those are two separate individual CFG files, the only purpose of them is to display a fancy message with special characters at the top of the screen when I hit those binds.

I found a more simple solution:

I use this to enter and exit Spectator

bind kp_5 "toggle spectator"


That doesn't work here. Maybe it only works in R1CH Q2 Client?

Hello

could someone please post his/her super rocket jump script? Years ago I had one which really nicely worked: it frooze the player, shot two rockets to the ground and then would release the player, letting him jump VERY high.

Currently I'm using the following, which not fully satisfies me:

I think the script I'm talking about made somehow use of cl_predict setting, which frooze the player on the client side. The new script above doesn't. Somebody knows other srj scripts?

Hi,

I've seen a lot of players on xrazy "moving to the girls room". So far I thought that means they disconnected (they don't appear on the scoreboard anymore) but that doesn't seem to be the case. It has to be some spectator mode, which I can find nowhere documented.

What command is it?

Very logical way you suggested. :)
I tried it and it seems to produce expected results (I'm indeed using Worldcraft map editor). I will later try to transfer the steps to the other map I'm building to see if this fixes the lighting issue.

Hello PNJ,

thank you for your reply! I tried to do what you said and replaced sunlight by skylight and made sure the rain-brushes don't touch the roofing, but light still doesn't penetrate them.
I also tried removing translucent and detail content properties and this time the rain effect still worked, but same problem.
