Quake / Re: D-Day:Normandy Q2 mod
« on: September 05, 2008, 03:41:11 PM »
Yes! This mod is great.. its the forefather of day of defeat, call of duty, basically all fps war games. The old dday community was known for its brutal self regulating as to the number of jumps you were allowed to perform at any given time (the hop!) But honestly, this mod is way fun... highly recommended just check out quakeservers.net.... its very popular in Chile.

q2w is A LOT of fun. I began playing back this summer but currently don't have the hardware to run it. Honestly, I thought it felt a lot like q2 taking a huge breathe of fresh air. The engine makes the graphics feel really clean and the speed of the game really gets the adrenal glands pumping. Rockets and rails fire faster, the hyperblaster is a bit more hyper and straife jumping is more like leaping but all in all the Q2 part of Q2W is very much intact.

art, music, etc. / A Jam
« on: July 28, 2007, 12:07:55 AM »
Back in May I met up with some of my homies. The result was a completely improvisational jam with stream of conciousness lyrics screamed by yours truly. All the sounds were picked up by just one mic (poorish quality) but we all felt pretty good about it considering we are wastes, after all. Named toad plan after a line about the swarms of toads I once squashed.

Detroit. Its a beautiful ghost like city ridden with rust and industrial waste and adandoned buildings (in a quake sort of way), amazing inhabited buildings, wide barren roads, mad weed, crack whores and a rich history spanning hundreds of years. I've been living here 4, I guess I like to represent it in all my ghettoblastering. I've gone under other names while living in other places, 'nothing' 'Gwags' 'riotmachine'

Quake / 128X128 Quake 2 Logo 4 phones?
« on: May 11, 2006, 09:50:00 AM »
Hey everybody,
I just got a new phancy cell phone that can display 128x128 images, I was wondering if anyone has had the same idea I just got. A Quake 2 backround for your phone, my image editing abilities are about as limited as paint. I was wondering if any of you artists out there could render a nice 128x128 quake2 logo, maybe just a resizing of the box logo, something kickass to represent Q2 in jpg form. I would greatly appreciate it, as would the community as a whole I think. Atleast us dorks with phones. Peace!
