Cool.  i may have to load q2 on this machine and see how it does, probably just fine since q2 is so old.  No video card or anything, but software mode is an option if i have to.  i'll plan on being there for a rusty, slow moving target.  i have messaged Zandar, so maybe his face will show within the q2 universe for the first time in many revolutions around the sun.

Thanks for putting this together DS.  Hope to see lots of old friends there.

nope, i'm all stock, even lighting, gl_modulate etc.  i cannot see the yellow armor under the stairs on DM4 unless i am very close to it.

Its still a bitch trying to kill athenas on dm1/red maps, but i just prefer the stock/default game i guess.  Been this way for a couple years now.

Having them in your q2 directory is not illegal, however, having them loaded in memory(runninng) is.  Having protocol 34 on top of having them in your game directory is over the top in my opinion.

He is forced anticheat from here forward.

2. the water on dm1
3. the red armor/rail on dm6

Please, name some of your own that give you great glee to paste the walls red with blood and giblets.

Well, the dm2 server is setup and running as you suggest, only dm1-8.  If you are unhappy with dm, then try out dm2.
