K i am upgrading my computer...doing a budget/slightly future proof build...

So far I have:

-2x 512mb  mushkin PC3200 ram
-DFI nForce4 Infinity mobo (socket 939 so i can swap in an AMD x2 4800 this summer )
-AMD 64 3200+  socket 939

Just curious if anyone has any suggestions on a cheaper (under 120 or so) vid card. Right now some of the cheaper geforce 6600s are looking good.....and it looks like later on I can add some good active cooling and overclock them to GTS speeds.

Trouble Shooting / WTF!?!!!? Lagout after 10 sec

This started today..after about 10 seconds of joining a game...ANY server..not just TS.net servers, I get the phonejack.

So I try disconnecting and reconnecting...and it just keeps saying connecting.....if I "repair" the connection with WinXP it works but then I just lagout after 10 sec again.

I just downloaded r1q2 but it didn't help.

Trouble Shooting / Tourney Server Problems

every time the map switches (not a match restart, but an actual change to a new map)...

It just keeps saying connecting...so I type disconnect...quit the program...look in gamespy..and it says I'm still logged int he server.

I've tried resetting the router ....but no worky.. i just have to wait until it times out or something.

this happens EVERY time

Quake / Changes in the Server... ?

Sup all, just registered here....these topics have most likely been covered but I don't feel like searching through everything right now. :p

Anyway....tastyspleen servers are awesome...yet they REALLLLYY need 2 things: Stats and map voting.

There's nothin like coming back to a map and seeing you're still in the top 10 for a map since april 04 or something.

Have these been considered...?? console?
