Trouble Shooting / My computer is too new for quake 2

okay, I really think that this is the case.
Lets say that I've been palying soem QUake 2, and while i'm doing so, Norton antivirus starts a scan. when I DO quit out, the norton window's colors are all distorted. any way i could fix this problem?

Hey there Tastyspleeners! Many of you might not remember, but I used to be a regular on all the tastyspleen servers.
