Quake / Quake II Mac 10.8

Anyone know how I can get Quake II running on Mac 10.8? I have not played in a while and when I try to start it up, it says "an error has occurred: couldn't load pics/colormap.pcx'

It's the same quake II app and files I've been using for years and years, so it's gotta be 10.8.

Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance!

Quake / Good Settings For Old Quake Player

I have not played this game in a few years, just redownloaded it.

I am on an  intel mac 2.66ghz with 4GB of ram.

Looking for all those heady autoconfig settings that I once had..

Anyone have the basic codes that I should insert into my autoconfig file to make everything run optimally.

Also, do I need to delete and rename the "config.cfg" file in the baseq2 folder to "autoconfig" or something?

I just can't remember, need someone to remind me!

If somebody could just copy there Xatrix folder and RA2 folder in their baseq2 folder and up it to Sendspace.com..that would be fucking FANTASTIC

Yea....I don't know what to do with the stuff I downloaded from the ra2..I downloaded both that were under ra2..and then under xatrix..I don't even know what any of that is..or what to do...eh..

First off, the map marics56..DOESNT WORK FOR ME. I tried redowloading a different copy..It just says *******MAX LIGHTMAPS EXCEDED****

whatever the fuck that means..

also when i play on the server Xatrix and i use some weapons they are white diamonds that shoot out..I am obviously am missing peices of somthing..Where can i get the package (I'm on a mac - not that it matters, i just am not sure where to put them)

and RA2 is there anywhere I can download all the maps and stuff for that too - It takes so fucking long to download through the game.

Help is appreciated. Thanks!

My bad - I ment to say a different website. Not this site. :0. But does anyoen know..i figured you console out of anyoen would know. The thing is I got another account and i want to log in on t he computer i got banned off of..will it just auto ban me if i log in with it? Or am i OK? If not where can i find/do something so i can use this site with a different account without getting banned! Thanks!

Okay..I got banned from this website for a accidental reason..I don't feel like explaining..But I got another account on a friends computer and I want to be able to log onto the site through my computer at home (the one that i got banned on) And I know that if I log in at home it will just ban me and my account again..Is there anyway around this? Blocking my IP addy or something? Help is much appreciated! Thanks!
