Hah! I didn't know that was recorded. Thanks, I had a lot of fun that match. Gaud plays incredibly well, he really put me under his boot there a few times.

[RB]FuckinSheep and I somehow ended a game on railz last night where we BOTH had 40 frags. Yes....IT WAS A TIE!
I didn't even know that was possible. It looks like we both had 39 frags, then I railed him, and then he immediately telefragged someone as the fraglimit was hit. Here's a screenshot of this unusual event. (see attached) 3

I can vouch for "your daddy". He's actually a good guy once you get to know him. I've played him a few times 1v1 on irtdm; he's a strong player. He is NOT a bot.
I agree that the chat spamming can be annoying at times. That being said, I understand why he does it. He's just looking to stir up the scene a little; you know....get people riled up! It's actually VERY satisfying to take someone down that's both a strong player, and is annoying the crap out of you at the same time. For what it's worth, I think he's a welcome addition to the community, and I would respectfully request that we DO NOT ban him. His personality and style add a little flare to the fraggin' scene. As other's have already said, if his chat spamming is too much for you, there are ways for you to /ignore him exclusively. 4

Quake / Re: Why Quake« on: April 27, 2010, 07:26:14 PM »
I'd like to echo what other's have said. Quake 2 is the only FPS that I play anymore. I've played Q2 on and off for over 12 years now, and something about it keeps me coming back. I've tried other FPS', but none of them have ever really measured up to Q2 in my mind. The game-play/control, and game balance are the biggest strengths in my mind. The weapon selection is superb, and there's nothing more awesome than the railgun. Also, you always feel like there's plenty of room for your own improvement. There's no limit on how far you can polish your skills. It's a lot like the sport of golf in that way...you're never a "perfect" a player, and you're always trying to improve your game. That's a BIG part of why it's still fun for me after all of these years. I grew up playing the original Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, etc...and when I finally got a decent internet connection in 1998, I started playing Q2 online, and I've never had more fun playing any other video game. It's simply an amazing piece of software, and I hope I'm still playing it from a retirement community when I'm old and gray.

I too have noticed that you're putting up more frags than ever on railz. I have a lot of admiration for your persistence, and love for the game. Keep up the good fight! Cheers.
